Not suitable for painting floors, doors and furniture

Quality standards

  • EN 13300 [Paints and varnishes. Water-borne coating materials and coating systems for interior walls and ceilings. Classification] – classification standards of coverage, gloss level and wet abrasion resistance parameters for water-borne coating materials for interior walls and ceilings.
  • VOC (volatile organic compounds) – content in accordance with the European Union directive 2004/42/CE.
  • Product and service quality is guaranteed by the quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety management system in accordance with standards ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007.

Surface preparation before painting

The surface must be clean, dry and free from grease. Chalk and lime whitewash should be completely removed. Surfaces painted with glossy paint should be cleaned of peeling coating, sandpaper to roughness, degrease with 3-5% soda solution, rinse with water and dry. Smooth irregularities, cracks and dents with acrylic filler. Prime unevenly absorbent surfaces with Aquastop water-dispersion primer.

Application

For painting large areas with tinted paint, it is recommended to use paint from the same production batch. If tinted paints are available from different production batches, it is recommended to pre-mix them in one container. Attention! The coating acquires its final color after the paint has dried. Stir the paint before use. Apply with a roller, brush or spray in 2 layers at an ambient temperature and base temperature from + 10°C to + 25°C. When applying by airless spray, use a nozzle of 0.015–0.019". For spray application and application of the first coat by roller, if necessary, the paint can be thinned with water no more than 5% by volume.
Features of using the TR base. Use TR (colorless) paint base only in tinted (according to the Eskarocolor system) form. Before applying the TR base, paint the surface in 1 coat with Eskaro Akrit 1 Ultimatt base A (white), which is tinted in a lighter shade of the topcoat color, so that as a result a complete overlap of the surface is achieved. Before applying the finishing paint (TR-base), the surface should have a uniform color without spots and “color transitions”. Do not thin the tinted TR paint base, apply in 2 layers. For saturated reds, yellows, and light green colors, more coats may be required to completely cover the substrate.

Painted surface care

The coating acquires its final wear resistance approximately 4 weeks after application, therefore it is recommended to avoid intensive cleaning of the painted surface, in case of contamination, before the specified period. To wash (clean) the painted surface after it has reached its final wear resistance, use a soft sponge (soft microfiber cloth) and lukewarm water, if necessary, neutral or slightly alkaline detergents. Clean with light movements, without strong surface friction. Remove contaminants as soon as they appear. Wipe dry after wet cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners, organic solvents, hard sponges and brushes.
