Appointment

Decorative-protective polyurethane glossy water-based varnish for parquet. For new or previously painted surfaces. For indoor use in residential and public areas with normal and high humidity. For "floating" floors and heated floors. The varnish is not intended for a bath (sauna).

Types of surfaces for application

For wooden parquet: firmly glued mosaic, piece, end, sheet (plate). For wooden floors, wooden staircases and railings. The varnish can be used for all wooden interior elements (tabletops, furniture, windows, doors, etc.), as well as wood materials (fiberboard, particleboard, Fiberboard, Oriented Chipboard, cork, etc.).

Surface preparation

Surface: dry, durable, clean, fat free, dust free. The moisture content of wood is less than 12%.
New surface (or previously varnished surface with removal of the old varnish coating): For maximum adhesion and durability of a varnish coating it is recommended to process new wood or the wood which is completely cleared of old coatings (varnish, paint, wax, oil, silicone, parquet care products, etc.). A layer of wood, soaked in oil, completely remove (recycle) to the depth of penetration of the oil. Degrease the treated surfaces of tropical varieties of wood, solid wood (oak, beech) and tarry sticky wood. Moisten rough wood slightly with water and, after drying, remove the raised pile by grinding. The first sanding of wood is carried out with rough sandpaper. When grinding, smooth the surface as much as possible. Finish grinding before priming (or before applying tinting material) with fine emery paper (240), remove dust. Prime the prepared surface with one coat of primer. For priming, use PARKETT ELIT varnish, diluted with water by 10-15% with a flow rate of 10-15 m² / l. For priming, a filler (acrylic or nitrocellulose) for wood can be used. Priming
tool: varnish roller (or brush). After priming (after 4 hours), sand the dried surface with fine emery paper (240), removing the raised pile. Remove dust. Before applying varnish, check in a small area its compatibility with the surface of the treated wood. Some exotic and hardwoods may experience a sharp change in color. In all cases, remove dust from the work surface and from the surrounding elements with a vacuum cleaner, and then with a clean, damp, lint-free cloth.
Previously varnished surface (without removing the old varnish):
To clear a surface of the peeling off old varnish. Gently, without much effort, sand the entire surface with fine sandpaper (240). Remove dust. Do not prime surfaces previously varnished. Check the compatibility of the varnish with the old varnish by making a trial varnish in a small area.

Application

Mix the varnish before use and mix during application. To apply at a relative humidity of 40-70%, air temperature, base and varnish from + 15ºС to + 25ºС with a varnish roller or a varnish spatula. In small areas, a brush is possible. Application by roller (brush): 2-3 layers. Application with a spatula: 4-5 layers. To apply a varnish in the direction of incidence of light indoors or along wood fibers from edge to edge of a surface. Before applying the last coat of varnish, sand the surface with sandpaper (240), remove dust. Attention! Do not apply varnish in thick layers with excessive consumption of material. Applying varnish in direct sunlight, draft, dustiness of the room, increased (or lowered) temperature and humidity can lead to coating defects.

Tools

Varnish roller, varnish spatula, brush.

Tool cleaning

Rinse immediately with water. Dry varnish is mechanically cleaned.

Composition

Polyurethane dispersion, water, additives.

Colour

Milky beige. After drying, it is colorless.

Tinting

Varnish is not tinted. If necessary, tinting of the processed wood - tinting material must be applied to the prepared, polished surface before its priming. After the tinting material has dried, the surface should be carefully sanded, without applying great effort, with a fine sandpaper (240), removing the raised pile, but without damaging the main color layer of the material. Remove dust.

Consumption

Paint roller, brush (on one layer): 10-15 m² / l. Spatula (on one layer): first layer up to 25 m² / l,
subsequent layers up to 50 m² / l. To achieve maximum strength of the varnish coating, the total consumption of primer and varnish should be 3-5 m² / l.

Drying time

Drying at a temperature of + 20°C and relative humidity of 65% at the recommended expense.
From dust: 30 minutes. The next layer can be applied: when applied with a spatula - after 2 hours, when applied with a roller - after 4 hours. Grind the surface 6 hours after applying varnish. Light load (walking in soft shoes) - after 24 hours. Full load (furniture, carpets, etc.), wet cleaning - after 14 days.

Precautionary measures

When working, follow the general rules of occupational health. Work in a well-ventilated area, in work clothes, gloves. Keep out of the reach of children. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse with water. The varnish is fire and explosion proof.

Disposal

Residues of dried varnish must be disposed of as household waste, polymer containers must be collected for recycling or disposal as household waste.
