Surface preparation
The surface must be dry, clean and durable. Keep decorative mineral substrates (plasters, putties, etc.) until completely dry according to the recommendations of their manufacturer. Remove contaminants that reduce the adhesion of VAX MATT to the base. Treat porous or dusty surfaces with a penetrating primer. To obtain uniformity of structure and color saturation of the substrate, before applying VAX MATT, it is recommended to level the absorbency of the surface with a primer. As a primer, use a matte water-dispersion paint of 1-2 classes of resistance to wet abrasion (according to EN 13300) or a penetrating primer.
Application
Tint a VAX MATT in the selected color. Mix until smooth before use. During application and drying, the temperature of the air, material and base should be from +10 ° C
to +25 ° C. When applying, avoid drafts. Apply VAX MATT in 1-2 coats. When decorating large surfaces, mix VAX MATT from several containers together in one container in the required quantity. Work on the same plane to perform without interruption, from corner to corner of the room or within the relief elements. It is recommended to process a surface of 1-2 m² at a time. Apply VAX MATT to the surface with a brush, roller, sponge or a special mitten, and if necessary immediately distribute “wet” on the surface with a silicone or rubber spatula or sponge. Open time with VAX MATT depends on the absorbency of the substrate, as well as on the thickness of the layer during application and is up to 5 minutes. When joining the next treated area, the edge of the previously treated surface should be still wet. On large surfaces, it is recommended to work together: one painter applies a continuous layer of material, and the second painter distributes the material over the surface with a special tool. For a deeper glaze effect, it is recommended to apply two coats of VAX MATT. Apply the second layer after the first has dried. VAX MATT can be applied with various techniques to achieve various effects. The procedure for applying VAX MATT to mineral structural surfaces with the effects of “travertine”, “marmorino”, “grotto”, as well as other types of structural surfaces can be found on the website

Painted surface care
VAX MATT gains final wear resistance after 3 weeks. Avoid cleaning the surface during this period, but if the surface still needs to be cleaned, do it carefully using a damp cloth. In the future, it is recommended to remove contaminants from the surface immediately after their appearance. For cleaning use a soft cloth and warm water with a neutral or medium alkalinity (pH to 9) detergent. Do not use solvents, abrasive detergents, hard sponges and brushes. After wet cleaning, wipe the surface dry.
