Surface preparation before painting

The surface to be painted must be carefully cleaned from loose or peeling material, dirt, grease and dust. Remove old chalk surface completely. Sandpaper durable alkyd substrates until they are matt and remove the dust thoroughly. If the surface is very dirty, wash it with a 3–5% solution of soda or a detergent containing ammonia solution, rinse with water and dry. Use a Fine Filler putty to fill cracks and dents or smooth the surface. We recommend using FINE-PRO FILLER as the finishing layer to even out the surface. Use Aquastop to prime surfaces that give up dust and surfaces with uneven absorption. Follow the product instructions for use.

Application

Stir the paint thoroughly before application. Apply 1– 2 coats with a roller (pile length: 10–14 mm), airless spray gun (nozzle: 0.017 – 0.021'') or brush at the temperature between 10 and 25 °C and relative humidity below 80%. If the airless spray gun is used, the paint can be diluted with water in the amount of 6% of its volume. Try to maintain a wet edge in the process of painting.
