For painting concrete, wooden and fiberboard floors in residential and commercial premises. It is recommended for floors exposed to moderate mechanical stress in dry and wet areas.
Can also be used for repair painting of floors treated with alkyd, acrylic or epoxy paints or varnishes. Not recommended for floors in industrial premises, garages and car washes.

Types of surfaces for painting

New and previously painted wooden, fiberboard and concrete floors. For interior work

Quality standards

  • EN 13300 [Paints and varnishes. Water-borne coating materials and coating systems for interior walls and ceilings. Classification] – classification standards of coverage, gloss level and wet abrasion resistance parameters for water-borne coating materials for interior walls and ceilings.
  • VOC (volatile organic compounds) – content in accordance with the European Union directive 2004/42/CE.
  • ISO 11998, ISO 2813 - methods for measuring the parameters of wear resistance and gloss.
  • Product and service quality is guaranteed by the quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety management system in accordance with standards ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007.

Surface preparation before painting

Concrete floors. Fresh concrete surface before painting should be kept for at least a month and have sufficient strength and low humidity (no more than 4%). Remove the fragile surface layer (“lime milk”) by grinding or milling with a grinding machine and remove the dust thoroughly. Cracks, chips and gouges should be sealed with putty for repairing concrete floors. Smooth monolithic concrete is desirable to roughen. Remove the flaking coating from the previously painted floor and clean it of dirt, oil, grease and dust. Before painting previously painted surfaces, you should ensure that there is no negative effect of Floor Aqua paint on the old coating in an inconspicuous place.
Wooden floors. The surface for painting should be dry (humidity not more than 18%), cleaned from dirt, dust, grease, oil and flaking coating. Surface, especially dense and smooth, sand to matte, remove dust. Before painting previously painted surfaces, you should ensure that there is no negative effect of Floor Aqua paint on the old coating in an inconspicuous place.

Application

Stir the paint well before use. Preferably mix the tinted paint in one container. Prime the floor with paint diluted by 10 ... 20%. Apply the finishing coating in 2-3 thin layers of undiluted paint using a roller with a short pile or synthetic brush. Let the paint dry between the layers for 5 ... 7 hours at air and surface temperatures of +10 ... + 25 ° C and relative air humidity not higher than 80%. When painting, try to keep the “wet edge”, avoiding the quick drying of the paint. Board floors should be painted lengthwise. If it is necessary to correct the surface, do it only after the paint has dried. Avoid painting in direct sunlight and at a temperature higher than indicated in order to avoid getting a poor-quality coating.

Care for the painted surface

The surface is ready for operation in 24 hours, however, it reaches the final hardness and wear resistance in 2 ... 4 weeks, therefore it is recommended to avoid strong friction of the surface during this period. Heavy objects and carpets can be laid on the floor about a week after painting. Clean the surface with a soft brush or cloth, using neutral and weak alkaline detergents. The painted surface can well withstand oils, gasoline, white spirit, household chemicals. Does not withstand strong solvents, such as nitrosolvent, acetone.

Tools

Brush from synthetic pile, varnish roller with a pile length of 7-12 mm.

Tool cleaning

Wash the tools and equipment with warm water and soap immediately after work. Fresh paint is removed with
soap and water, dried - mechanically.

Colour

Tinting

Machine tinting according to the Eskarocolor system (bases А and TR).

Consumption

6...8 m²/L – concrete surfaces
8...11 m²/L – wooden surfaces

Drying time

The surface is ready for repainting in 5...7 hours.
Fully dry in 12 hours at +20...+23 °С and the relative humidity 50%. When the air temperature decreases, the drying time increases accordingly.

Safety precautions

The product is not classified as hazardous according to CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. Follow the general rules of occupational health. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use with spray equipment. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water. Use water to clean the polluted surface and objects.
